Studio D Dance (“Studio D,” “we,” or “us”) runs danceatstudiod.com. This policy explains what information we collect through our website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it simple: we collect only what we need to serve your family, and we never sell your information.
Information we collect
We collect information you choose to give us when you fill out a form on our site, such as:
- Contact details: your name, email address, phone number, ZIP code or city, and how you prefer to be contacted.
- Information about your dancer: first name, date of birth or age, gender (optional), class interests, and dance experience. A parent or guardian provides this information, never the child.
- Program and event details: for example, party dates, school or organization names, number of guests, and preferred days and times.
- Your preferences and messages: survey answers, how you heard about us, and anything you write to us.
Like most websites, our site and the services it uses may also automatically receive basic technical information, such as your browser type and the pages you visit.
How we use your information
- To reply to your questions and requests.
- To add you to the waitlists and lists you sign up for, and to let you know when registration opens or new classes, camps, and events are announced.
- To plan classes, placements, parties, events, and partnerships.
- To send Studio D news, only if you opt in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
How we share your information
We do not sell or rent your information. We share it only with trusted services that help us run Studio D, and only as needed to provide them:
- Zoho, which receives our website form submissions and powers our email and demo class bookings.
- Studio Pro, which runs our Parent Portal for registration, payments, and waivers. Information you enter there is also covered by Studio Pro’s own policies.
- Our website host and font provider (Netlify and Google Fonts), which receive basic technical information needed to deliver the site.
We may also share information if required by law or to protect the safety of our students, families, and staff.
Children’s privacy
Our website is meant for parents, guardians, schools, and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Information about a child is provided by a parent, guardian, or school. If you believe a child has sent us information directly, please contact us and we will delete it.
Photos
We may share photos from classes and events on our website and social media. We never post a child’s face without parent consent. At partner schools, we follow each school’s photo permissions. To ask us to remove a photo, just contact us.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in the email, or by contacting us.
- Ask us to see, update, or delete the information you’ve given us by emailing info@danceatstudiod.com.
How we protect your information
We use reputable service providers and take reasonable steps to keep your information safe. No website or online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we work hard to protect what you share with us.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the effective date at the top of this page.
